Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours for Human Appeal

Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours for Human Appeal

On Friday 31st July I will endeavour to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge within 24 hours

The aim is to try  and climb mountains in Scotland, England & Wales all within 24hours and raise enough money to help build & provide medical equipment to those suffering in war torn Syria via Human Appeal.

The need is greater than ever to remember we are all one and we are all blessed, there will always be someone out there less fortunate than us
just like there is always an opportunity for us to do something for them .

Please help me share this appeal with everyone you know and even those you don’t
You can donate directly via the Just Giving page here.

Statemeant is a Child Of Adam

Statemeant is a Child Of Adam

This winter, Statemeant is partnering up with Children Of Adam again. For every Statemeant beenie sold over the next few months, a beenie hat will be distributed to the homeless of London via Children Of Adam.

The Children of Adam is a group of volunteers who get together once a week to distribute food, drink and clothes to homeless people and people living in difficult circumstances in London. We meet every Sunday at 6pm at Lincoln’s Inn Field (and you are welcome to join us) where we hand out any items needed by the 100 or so homeless people we meet each week.

One of the most regular activities takes place on a weekly basis, distributing food to homeless people. Meeting at Lincoln’s Inn Field in London every Sunday at 18.00.
All are welcome to volunteer and get involved. Most efforts are co-ordinated via the Facebook page.

For those wanting to donate funds, that can be done via the Children Of Adam Just Giving page.
100% of all money raised goes towards items which are distributed to the homeless from food and drink to clothes etc.

Here is a map of where the weekly meet to distribute food takes place.

#MakeYourMark with Ahlan Art

#MakeYourMark with Ahlan Art

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to make the final day of an interactive Hajj art exhibition. The organisers Ahlan Art offer a different and very fresh approach to Islamic art with themes ranging from classical pieces to more modern and contemporary styles.
The word ‘Ahlan’ from Arabic origin itself translates as welcome, providing the perfect atmosphere for artists and collectors to come together.

As well as featuring some amazing work by Peter Gould and Siddiqa Juma, there was one very unique and original concept. This one exhibit invited visitors to literally leave their mark on a Siddiqa Juma piece by picking up a brush and painting onto this interactive canvas. As well as having been exhibited at the House Of Lords, this piece has now had over 1000 people adding to its colourful depth.

You can stay upto date with news and forthcoming exhibitions here.
